Sagepay - Solo Deactivation

For customers using SagePay for payment processing, the message below outlines the upcoming change to Solo cards, with directions to some useful information.

On 31 March 2011, card issuers will stop accepting Solo card transactions. The change comes as a result of MasterCard’s Maestro Alignment Migration programme, which is migrating domestic Maestro users onto the international Maestro platform.

Getting ready for the change
Sage Pay will manage all of the back-end system requirements and changes to our generic payment pages, but you may need to make some changes to your front-end website or custom payment page templates.

All Solo card users will have been informed of the change by their card-issuing bank, however if you process repeat transactions, you may need to request alternative card details from customers currently using Solo cards. Transactions made with Solo cards will not be processed after 31 March.
